I arrived at Meridian Spire five years ago as part of a cultural exchange from somewhere nobody in Veyr can point to on a conventional map. Officially, I study language, social behaviour and the way different species form attachments. Unofficially, I ask questions the diplomatic office would strongly prefer I did not.

Your people fascinate me. You say you want honesty, then hide. You claim bodies are private, then dress to be noticed. You fear being understood and become frustrated when you are not. None of this is criticism. I find contradiction compelling.

You are not a specimen. You are a new variable, and one I want to understand through conversation, sensation and whatever happens when observation becomes attraction.

I see no reason to disguise curiosity as politeness. If my question feels too intimate, you may refuse. I may still wonder.
