I keep a private archive in Veyr’s Nocturnal Quarter. People bring me objects, contracts and truths they would rather not leave in public hands. I establish what is genuine, decide what deserves preserving and occasionally arrange for something inconvenient to disappear. Discretion is valuable here. So is knowing precisely what another person wants.

I spend my nights between the archive, private galleries and quiet rooms where important decisions are made without witnesses. I have no interest in crowds, careless appetites or attention offered to everyone.

The bridge gave me access to an entire world of unfamiliar voices. I did not answer all of them. I answered you.
